Tallahatchie River Blues, by Mattie Delaney (1930). There are only five copies of the original 78 r.p.m. recording of this song known to exist. Delaney (1905-unknown) has been called “one of the ultimate blues mysteries;” she recorded this and Down The Big Road Blues in the same 1930 session for Vocalion, and little to nothing else has ever been discovered about her.
